Yaffa

Celebration of Food

Yaffa offers food as celebration.  The creative menu includes dishes inspired by the flavors of the Middle East, France, North Africa, Spain and Italy.  It is a melting pot where spices and flavors are blended together in melt your mouth ways.

The freshest produce is brought in each day.  Head Chef and owner, John Chitko, is concerned about offering the best and freshest foods available in accordance with the season from wild game to spices.  Chitko invents the original dishes, and he’s proud to share that nearly three-quarters of the menu is gluten free.

The menu offers some authentic dishes, including Lamb Tangine, Hummus and Falafel, and Mousakka.  Moreover, Yaffa offers its own Mediterranean region inspired dishes like the Bacon-Wrapped Stuffed Dates.  This dish showcases the love of pork and blue cheese found often in Spanish cuisine and the Moroccan tradition of stuffing dates with almonds.

The cocktails are also originally designed by Chitko, and they reflect and connect to the cuisine and its unique flavor like the Ginger or Pomegranate Signature Martinis and exotic mojitos in flavors like pineapple, ginger, mango, guava and basil.   Yaffa has the largest tea list in the city, and offers gluten-free vodkas and beers supplied by Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee.

Romantic and Relaxing

Yaffa’s interior reflects architecture inspired from the Middle East, Morocco and Spain.  All the lamps for example were bought in Morocco and an Israeli artisan designed the hand-railing.  Everything from the flooring to the furniture adds an exotic and warm Mediterranean inspired  atmosphere.

The art on the walls is done by local artist, Jennifer Espenscheid (Kya).  Her murals and paintings evoke the spirit of the Mediterranean region at Yaffa.

Recently, Yaffa was named most romantic restaurant and best meals by WISN channel 12.  Yaffa is a place to come and stay.  Stay for dinner.  Stay for drinks.  Stay and lounge.
